Quick Pickle
Ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup vinegar
- peppercorns
- mustard seeds
- crushed red pepper
- cloves
- turmeric
- dried chili
- 1 1/2 tablespoons kosher salt
Instructions
- Cut up your favorite pickling vegetables. I like to do layers of sliced carrots, onion, celery and cucumber. Put in two mason jars.
- Combine all pickling ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil.
- Carefully pour into mason jars, cover and put in fridge when cool enough to handle.
