Sick of pdfs downloading to your desktop? This isn't very intuitive, but if you want to make PDFS download to a specific folder when using Firefox, you must change your Safari preferences. Open up Safari, Click on Safari, Preferences, Click on General and change the path of "Save downloaded files to". I had this problem for about 6 months now and it was driving me crazy. I would launch IE and it would just HANG there for about 15+ seconds as if it was searching for something, then it would start loading the webpage.
